Cancer is a disease that will likely affect us or someone close to us during our lifetime. Unfortunately, cancer is also affecting our pets more and more, too. One of my own dogs was recently diagnosed with cancer, in part through the use of ultrasound. This really got me thinking about just how many benefits ultrasound can provide. It can give us critical, real-time imaging of trauma in an emergency and it is also one of the least expensive and non-invasive ways to find cancer in pets.

Since our pets can't tell us when they aren't feeling well, we often don't learn that they have cancer until it is too late. Regular screening, including diagnostic imaging, can help us to get ahead of the curve when it comes to this insidious disease. If Charlie's Angels meets its goal, we will all be a part of saving pets' lives!
